Upload File Image Quality slider
This slider allows you to control the jpeg quality and file size of the FTP upload image.

Save File Image Quality slider
This slider allows you to control the jpeg quality and file size of the image saved to the hard drive. The Upload and save quality settings are made independent so that you can for example save the highest quality and largest size file to the hard drive but at the
same time want to send more highly jpeg compressed and smaller file to the server to conserve bandwidth.

Images Destination Folder
Select the location where you wish to save the jpeg images.  The default is C:\...\Pictures\IPTimelapse

Save images to computer checkbox
Check this to build an archive of images the Destination Folder

Make yyyy_mm_dd subfolder checkbox
Check this to make a separate subfolder for each day of image collection.

Delete images older than N day(s)
Check this to delete images older then the chosen number of days.  This is helpful to avoid filling the hard drive with images beyond its capacity or to simply limit the number of days required to archive.  When selected make sure the folder and subfolders do not contain any images you want to keep that begin with "20..." as in "2015" otherwise they could be permantnly lost.  When the Start button is pressed on the View page files > N days will be deleted.

Watched Folder and Watched Filter.
This setting is described under Advanced Capture Settings.  It would not commonly be used.

Add text with date/time
Check this to add text in the text box below the control.

Add text from file
Check this to add text from the file named in the text box to the right of the control.  You can also browse for the file.  The text file could contain a weather text string for instance.

Use C# Datetime format
Check this to have control over the date and time string format.  Google C# Datetime to see the meaning of the example formatting provided in the textbox below the control.  For nstance "dddd" will show the full day name such as Tuesday. Using "ddd" will abreviate all the days names to three characters as Mon, Tue, Wed, etc.

Select Font
Choose the font for the text.  It is recommended to keep the default font as Lucida Consol as this is a fixed width font it will keep an equal spacing between characters and words which will make for a nicer timelapse playback where the lettering will not shift between frames
during playback.

Text Shading
This checkbox and density setting controls the text background which will help the text stand out from the image background. A lower value increases the density.

Put text at top of image
This checkbox gives the option to place the text at the top of the image.

Offset Text Hours
Normally 0.  Set to add or subtract hours displayed in the textbox which will be offset from your computer clock.

Capture every N seconds
This setting is used by the software when the Start button is pressed. Keep in mind the minimum time for capture is ultimately limeted by how quickly the camera can return an image and the software save it.  Note also that the FTP upload process runs independently of the capture process so FTP upload time is not added to the capture time. To put it another way, if the FTP upload takes longer than the capture rate the capture rate will not be affected.  This means that you could for instance capture one image every 10 seconds even if there is a slow Internet connection and the FTP upload is taking 30 seconds.

Upload On/Off radio button
Upload on is checked for FTP uploads on each capture.

Upload every N capture
When Upload is On this setting will tell the program to wait N captures between uploads.  If set to 2 then every other image capture will be uploaded. This setting is quite usfull for the case where you want to capture at a fast rate say every 6 seconds but you don't want to be uploading every image which can use a lot of bandwidth.  Or you might just want to upload at a slower rate for whatever reason.  For example, if you capture every 6 seconds and
want to upload every 1 minute set the Upload after every to 10.

Show FTP Setting button
Clich this button to display the FTP settings.  FTP settings are described below.

Start Hr, Start Mn, Stop Hr, Stop Mn
Here you can manually set the hours of operation.  Image captures will not take place outside of the time chosen.

S M T W T F S checkboxes
Set the valid days for image capture.  For instance if "M" is checked and no others then images will be caputred on Mondays and no other day.

Use Sunrise/Sunset for Start/Stop time
Set this checkbox to override the Start Stop times and instead use the sunrise sunset times defined by the Latitude and Longitude settings.

Start Bias, Stop Bias
When using the Sunrise/Sunset checkbox a bias can be applied.  If you for example want capture to begin 30 minutes before sunrise and continue until 20 minutes after sunset set the Start Bias to -30 and the Stop Bias to +20.

Verify Button
Click the verify button to check the valididy of your Latitude and Longitude settings.  The sunrise/sunset times are indicated without bias applied.
